This made me remember a friend in high school telling me he was "normal" height. We were having massive growth spurts at the time, and he wasn't. He kept asserting some national statistic that reaffirmed his status of being average height.
We didn't contest his facts.
That led me to wonder about the relationship of the speakers. They could be close but I'm thinking they are friends of friends... If they are real, do you know what their relationship was?
