Change of Face
I turned the corner,
Wheeling along behind
Windows and doors, where
A small boy on the walk
Stood tall on his pedals, and
I watched his face of deep
Concentration inward; and then
It shifted—in mid turn—
He smiled
And turned it all up.
He lifted it
And I imagined what
Scenario and story in his
Mind had led to that real
Smile.
He won.
He introduced the moment
And won.

I liked that. It touches on a moment, an experience - it mentions a real/valued experience that I don't often remember after having it.
