Japanese Smoking Plate

My smoking plate is Japanese.
Hand painted rectangle
Glazed green
with clear light cracks beneath the surface
making it feel fragile
and aged
into quality.

I wonder who
will see me
when I am old
and if they will feel similar
about me.
